Cloud Services

Research shows “multi-cloud environments” are already the IT norm for most organizations. A recent study discovered that 98% of companies surveyed used some level of cloud services:

  • About two-thirds reported using two or three public cloud providers
  • Nearly a third said they use four or more public providers
  • Only 2% of those polled use a single service

While these findings confirm cloud computing – solutions that enable working anytime, anywhere, across multiple devices – is a popular, viable IT strategy, they answer few questions about  implementing and adapting these technologies to your business. For example:

  • Is a public cloud all we need to succeed?
  • What should we keep on premises?
  • How would these two services work together?

As a managed services provider (MSP), we help small to medium-size businesses (SMBs) address these issues literally every day. From our experience working with companies with diverse requirements in multiple industries we have drawn these conclusions:

  • Cloud computing is an advantageous business model that converts the capital expense of IT into an operating expense.
  • Cloud services serve as an excellent computing backbone for today’s hybrid workforce that increasingly mixes time in the office with working remotely.
  • In turn, a hybrid cloud that mixes public and on-premise services most likely is the best option for your company.

How do we help you create a hybrid cloud? Here are three basic steps:

  1. Review – We perform a Cloud Readiness Assessment to determine available network bandwidth for reliable, secure cloud access.
  2. Recommend – We also review applications, data and infrastructure to craft migration strategies.
  3. Ramp up – We suggest starting with IT essentials such as email, voice and backup solutions. Other applications may follow as implementation gains momentum.

Of course, there’s more to our process than a few simple bullets. Give us a call to learn more.
